Tuig was set-up in 2002 by David Simpson. Having just completed over six years living and working in the USA, David decided to return closer to 'home'.
In the USA David was the team leader of the USA business of QA Training. The business involved bespoke Consulting, Training and Mentoring to a number of Fortune 100 companies, many of whom were Financial Services companies.
After a brief spell with a USA training company, who bought over QA's USA business, David moved to work for a bespoke software consulting firm Ermas Consulting Inc.
In recent years we have been involved in many different projects, such as:
- SAS 9.1.3 Enterprise BI - Architect, design and build new Analytics platform for a major UK Credit Card company
- SAS 9.1.3 - Infrastructure design and build for Basel II project at a major UK Bank (SAS Credit Risk Management Solution 4.2)
- Basel II Portfolio Data Validation and Loading for a major USA Bank (SAS,SQL[Oracle])
- Retail Checking and Savings Campaign Response Analysis (SQL[Teradata], SAS, Excel)
- Home Equity Loan Credit Card Campaign Reporting (SQL[DB2], SAS, Excel)
- Debit Card Data Mart design for a major USA Bank (SQL[Teradata])
- Web Site Development (HTML, CSS, XML, ASP, JavaScript, Flash, Photoshop, Joomla)
- Bespoke retail store catalogue maintenance (XML, HTML, ASP, Visual Basic, JavaScript, SQL)
- Business reporting (Excel, VBA, Perl, SQL[DB2 & Teradata])
Currently David is researching iPhone/iPad application development using Apple's Xcode Development Environment.
